Learning
I usually like to learn at least 3 things side by side. In case I get bored I can switch easily.
- Currently finishing TOP
- Doing Teach Yourself Computer Science. I figured since I never had this background (at least purely) I certainly could learn something. Currently in first chapter "Programming" watching "MIT 6.001 introductory course in computer science".
- Learning Romanian through Anki flashcards and Duolingo (I know the latter is not so effective).
Reading
I'm currently reading "Storyworthy" by Matthew Dicks, "Start Marketing the day you start coding" by Rob Walling, and "All Art is Propaganda" by George Orwell. I also just finished "Something Missing" by Matthew Dicks, it was a very pleasant surprise to find this author in late 2025.
I've created a page to store all my read books, you can check it out here.
I also keep up to date with:
- Derek Sivers
- Wait But Why
- Readwise Wisereads, a curated newsletter
Projects
I've just finished working on BoatPassport, a web-app to manage all boat related shenanigans.
I've redone this blog using Zola, a static site engine, and I'm finishing up the book notes page.
Tech
I'm eager to test out Omarchy and to learn Node.js.
I've been delaying updating my iphone 13 mini to the latest iOS 26 (with all the liquid glass uglyness and decreased performance), but I finally pulled the trigger. I was tempted by a new shortcut on the control center to add reminders. Well...it isn't that bad, except for the new camera app and a few things here and there. Either way, it's livable, but I preferred the old design.
As for the mac I won't update it until I don't have any other option. A phone is one thing I can live with if the UI is deteriorated, not the laptop.
Lists
I have thousands of lists, so I'm sharing here a few that I wished I came across sooner.
