Why I blog
I've always been a thinker, and in my last years, I've realized that writing makes me a better thinker. It organizes and refines my thoughts. It doesn't hurt that it's something I enjoy doing.
It's quite a different state of mind to write for school, or to write for pleasure. The education system made writing as something to be done with a lot of precision and thought process behind, a chore, therefore boring. Fortunately, I've relearned that it can be whatever I want it to be. It's just another tool.
In this fast-paced, short attention span world is quite odd to stop and reflect. Writing allows me to do just that. It's not a new concept, lots of popular personalities (writers, inventors, politicians) have journaled in the past, and it's honestely one of the best ways to peak into their mind, even if they are no longer amongst us. A great example of this is Aaron Swartz essays.
